Yesterday's market activity meant that leading equity indices in the US declined as S&P 500 lost 2.5% and ended the session at 3,759.69. Nasdaq slipped 3.36% and closed at 10,525.
US markets are set to open today in around 3 hours. In the meantime, European markets have struggled to gain ground and are now trading lower midway through the session. Asia-Pacific markets were down today as ASX 200 dips to 6,858 (down 1.84%).
Market's down-tick coincides with some negative macro data published earlier as United States Crude Oil Inventories fell short of the 367,000 projections, with new data of -3.12 million.
Meanwhile, United States Interest Rate came out at four, while a consensus of analysts was expecting four. United States ADP Nonfarm Employment Change (Oct) released yesterday at 12:15 UTC with a figure of 239,000, while the previous figure was 192,000.
Looking ahead, ongoing depreciation may be prolonged as tomorrow at 12:30 UTC data for United States Non Farm Payrolls will be released, with an expected decline to 200,000 from the preceding figure of 263,000. United States Unemployment Rate expected to decline to 3.6 while its preceding data was 3.5, data will be available tomorrow at 12:30 UTC.
Furthermore, United States ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (Oct) is expected today at 14:00 UTC.
While markets are generally down so far today, some stocks outperformed such as Polygon Matic gained 10.33% to reach $0.963. BNB (up 5.24%) and Chainlink (up 1.35%) also performed well yesterday.
