Top laggard Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF giving up 16.5 cents, or 0.35%, so far this session IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) has also underperformed today.
European markets are in session with varied performances.

With the trading session well underway, markets are up including news that Nasdaq goes up 1.37%, trading at 12,017. S&P 500 up to 4,088.57, gaining 0.8%.

European markets are currently mixed so far this session. Asia-Pacific markets are in session with varied performances.

EQT Corporation & FirstEnergy Corp have released their earnings reports with ArcelorMittal & FIGS, Inc. are set to publish their respective reports as scheduled.

Uptick coincides with some positive signs published earlier as highly important Initial Jobless Claims data from United States beat analyst expectations of 248,000 with a reading of 230,000.

On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as United States Pending Home Sales published today at 14:00 UTC came out at -5.2%, falling short of the 0.5% projections and continuing its decline from the previous 0.8% figure. Highly important GDP data from United States beat analyst expectations of two with a reading of 1.1.

Also worthy of note, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Mar) is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 UTC.

While indices are generally bullish today, some individual assets stood out as Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund trades at $58.82 having gained 4.79%.

Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF drops 0.35% to trade at $46.45. IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) has also underperformed today.
