Markets were flat Friday, yet Platinum, Rough Rice, Cocoa showed impressive gains and made this list of top gainers.

Markets completed a mixed session Friday while Gold shed 1.24% and closed at $1,994. Corn was down 1.84% before closing the session at $614.5.

Despite Friday's flat session, several commodities are managing to post notable gains. Take a look at the market's Top Gainers:

CME Platinum | Up 3.04% to $1,141.3 Friday

Approximately 2 days ago, the Platinum future reached a significant high of $1,141.5 but has struggled to hold onto its gains and declined 2.97% since then.

End of a slump? After 12 successive days of depreciation, Cocoa was up $25 Friday

On-trend CME Cocoa closed the session Friday with more of the same: CME Cocoa rises 0.85% to close at $2,981 per metric tonne Friday.

+1.04%: Grains traders focused on the Rough Rice future as it powers 1.04% higher

CME Rough Rice pointed in the same direction Friday: the Rough Rice future rose 17.5 cents to close at $17.06 per cwt Friday which makes for a move of 1.04%.
