Uptick coincides with some positive signs published earlier as data for United States Crude Oil Inventories released yesterday at 16:00 UTC is better than expected with 7.65 million, but worse than previous figure of 16.28 million.
On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as data from United States concerning GDP was released yesterday at 13:30 UTC. Newly published figures emphasized continued decline from last month's figure of 3.2 to 2.7 this month.
Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Jan) released today at 13:30 UTC with a figure of 0.6, while the previous figure was 0.4.
Also worthy of note, United States New Home Sales (Jan) is expected today at 15:00 UTC.
While most assets did well yesterday, some did better than others as United States Natural Gas Fund LP trades at $8.07 having gained 6.46%. IShares J.P. Morgan USD Emerging Markets Bond ETF (up 1.6%) is also performing well.
