Markets are trading lower today despite some positive data published earlier as United States Initial Jobless Claims beat analyst expectations of 220,000 and the previous reading of 218,000 with new data of 217,000.
While price action maintains a negative bias, United States ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (Oct) released today at 14:00 UTC with a figure of 54.4, while the previous figure was 56.7. United States Interest Rate came out at four, while a consensus of analysts was expecting four.
Looking ahead, ongoing depreciation may be prolonged as United States Non Farm Payrolls projected to come out at 200,000 — worse than previous data of 263,000; data will be released tomorrow at 12:30 UTC. Tomorrow at 12:30 UTC data for United States Unemployment Rate will be released, with an expected decline to 3.6 from the preceding figure of 3.5.
While markets are generally down so far today, some stocks outperformed such as Waste Connections gained 4.8% to reach $136.2.
