Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States Federal Budget Balance (Nov) came out at -249 billion, while a consensus of analysts was expecting -248 billion. United States 10-Year Note Auction released yesterday at 18:00 UTC with a figure of 3.625, while the previous figure was 4.14. United States 3-Year Note Auction came out at 4.093.
Also worthy of note, Thursday data for United States Retail Sales will be released, with an expected decline to -0.1% from the preceding figure of 1.3%. As things stand, upcoming United States Core Retail Sales data is projected to fall short of market expectations with newly published data of 0.2%, following on from the preceding figure of 1.3%. New data is set to be published Thursday.
Furthermore, the market is looking at United States Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index (Dec) is scheduled for Thursday.
